Today's Tidbit: Expensive Hotels Nickel and Dime Their Customers

Expensive hotels are frequented by business travelers who charge everything to their companies, and therefore don't care about the cost of incidentals.

Inexpensive hotels are frequented by customers who pay themselves and therefore are attracted by free incidentals.

And this explains the paradox of why expensive hotels nickel and dime their customers for things like Wi-Fi, while inexpensive hotels do not.
